Private Poll Confirms McConnell in Tough Race

With news over the weekend that polls show Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) in a much closer than expected race for re-election, the Rothenberg Political Report has seen a private poll -- not yet released -- which confirms the dead heat. Bottom line: "Because of that, we are moving this race from Clear Advantage for McConnell to Narrow Advantage for McConnell, and we would not argue with anyone who rated the contest as a Toss-Up."

Good God this election is frakking boring! I'm turning my TV off whenever one of the party leaders comes on Newsworld because, quite frankly, they all make me want to cry - and my mood has stabilized recently and I'd kinda like to keep it that way for as long as possible. Look, I already am 99% sure of whom I'll be voting for, so I just want Oct. 14 to roll around as quickly as possible so I can put that check on my ballot and move on with my life. Filming has started for the new Tim Burton film “Alice in Wonderland”. It has been confirmed that Australian actress Mia Wasikowska plays the lead in the movie with Johnny Depp, who is taking on the role of the Mad Hatter. Matt Lucas and David Walliams, stars of British television show “Little Britain”, have been cast as Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee. Also, Burton’s partner and actress Helena Bonham Carter is also set to star in the movie. My guess is that she will be playing the Queen of Hearts
